Rafael Baro

2010

The creation and development of an agenda focused on the exchange of cultural activities between Latin American countries and Australia has been alive since the early years. From 2010 to 2019, Oniria Language Studio actively collaborated in the creation and production of CINE VIVO, an  independent Latin American Film Festival in Perth.
In 2014 and 2015, Oniria supported the exchange between Australian and Argentinian musicians to come to Australia, and they presented memorable shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle.

In 2014, it was the time of Argentinian activist, composer and singer Leon Gieco and his band; they met and performed with Archie Roach and William Barton.
In 2015, Oniria supported Jaime Torres, the Argentinian world-renowned interpreter of ‘charango,’ and his band, including musicians and dancers; they played with William Barton and then flew to Broome where they met the Pilgrim Brothers to share and exchange skills and instruments and performed together.

2012

In 2012, Oniria introduced expeditions to Latin America to promote immersive learning experiences, giving the opportunity to learn first hand about the rich cultures and unique places of that part of the world.
Between 2012 and 2014, three expeditions to Chilean and Argentinian Patagonia were delivered, also visiting Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile.
A new
expedition to South Brazil is on the way, programmed for November 2024.
