We offer courses at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Crash courses and conversational classes are also available. The classes are fun, interactive and have a strong hands-on focus on Latin American culture with cooking classes, film nights and social events.

BEGINNERS COURSE
The beginners’ course will cover greetings, farewells and introductory dialogues, conjugation of regular verbs (and some irregular verbs) in the present tense, forming questions and answers, reading and listening comprehension, pronunciation and conversation practice and a cooking class per month to learn new vocabulary and the use of positive and negative commands. On top of these grammatical concepts, students will also learn about cultural aspects of Spanish/Portuguese speaking countries -e.g. some simple and delicious recipes, interesting places to visit, art, music and much more- while improving their language skills.
The grammatical concepts aim to help students structuring basic sentences to comfortably communicate in Spanish/Portuguese. In this way, students can build up a sound foundation to advance to more complex grammatical concepts upon completion of this course. Linguistic accuracy is a long-term goal, and the beginner’s course a is a great first steppingstone towards achieving this!
Travellers beginner course
Alternatively, if you are planning to travel to Spanish/Portuguese speaking countries and want to learn the best way to communicate on simple terms whilst in Latin America or Spain/Portugal (to order a taxi, find a hotel, order a beer etc) we at ONIRIA Language Studio can offer simple short-term classes to accommodate this level of language.

We offer classes for intermediate students which will help you to steadily develop and expand your vocabulary and grammar to a higher level where you will be able to expand your communication communicate in Spanish or Portuguese with native speakers!
These classes maintain the same laid back and participative aspect of the beginner classes but with more advanced grammatical concepts and cultural content.
ADVANCED COURSE
We offer classes for advanced students which will help you to steadily develop your conversational skills and cultural awareness. This course will consolidate and improve grammar skills such as past tenses and use and develop subjunctive tenses. You will have the opportunity to incorporate acquired grammatical concepts into conversations at a point where you will be able to confidently communicate in Spanish or Portuguese with native speakers and eventually become fluent in the language!
The classes maintain a relaxed and interactive environment with lots of cultural materials used to encourage the students to explore everyday concepts and ideas used in conversations. Short films, music clips, animations, as well as recipes and cooking classes are often used in this course.
