Rafa’s method of teaching is holistic and he uses different mediums to teach. This not only allows quicker learning but also keeps things interesting. Furthermore, he has great knowledge of the culture and the ways that Latin American people interact, for example the Brazilian sense of humour and notoriously cheeky attitude! Learning these aspects are in fact just as important as learning the language itself. Thank you Rafa for being a great teacher!

I learned so much from Rafa’s classes (probably more so than in my four months of classes in Spain!) and they really gave me the ability and confidence to speak at a conversational level in Spanish. I am certain these are the most useful, interesting, fun and enriching Spanish classes available in Perth!

On my recent trip to Brazil, a few Brazilians that I spoke to in Portuguese thought I had actually lived in Brazil before. It was such a nice compliment and I felt proud of the hard work I had put in to learn the language. I also felt tremendously lucky as I know that a large part of being able to speak Portuguese well is having Rafa as my teacher.

I really enjoyed the Spanish classes I took with Rafa and would highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking a rich language-learning experience! Rafa’s alternative teaching style – using conversations, videos, cooking, music and social activities – enables you to absorb the beautiful South American/Spanish culture while developing your language skills at the same time.

The classes are a fantastic unique experience that cater to everyone and anyone who is serious about learning Spanish.

I am taking the 1-on-1 classes with Rafa. These are a combination of classes in the Joondana classroom and also over skype. As I work in the north, this is the perfect situation for me and the flexibility with times is fantastic. The classes are fun and I learn more with every class.
